Sponsored by the Office of Information Technology. OIT@The Technology Support Center offers a variety of Walk-In Support services to Students, Faculty, and Staff of Georgia Tech.

  • GT Account Management

    Need help activating your GT Account or forgot your password?  We can assist quickly and ensure your services such as LAWN and PRISM are enabled.  For online account management, check out the self-serve portal PASSPORT.
  • GT Wireless Configuration

    Windows XP, VISTA or MAC OS X   we can help you properly configure your  laptop, or other wireless device such as Handheld WindowsCE & Handheld PalmOS. For online configuration assistance, check out The Georgia Tech LAWN (Local Area Walkup & Wireless Network).
  • Operating System Troubleshooting

    Windows, Macintosh, and LINUX OS - system running slow or won’t boot?  We provide software centered troubleshooting and support for any brand laptop or desktop.  No appointment necessary.
  • Virus/Spyware Removal

    Protecting against Virus' and Spyware is easily accomplished by knowing the sources, and consistently scanning your files. Georgia Tech provides Virus and Spyware monitoring and removal applications free of charge to all students, faculty, and staff via the Software Distribution page.  Visit us today to ensure your system is protected, or to identify and removal any possible virus or spyware infection.
  • E-mail problems & SPAM Filtering

    Can't access SPECTRUM webmail, bounced e-mail, or problems with SPAM?  OIT Walk-in support technicians can assist you with configuring a variety of connection methods, as well as with filtering SPAM from your Inbox.
  • Software Distribution

    Georgia Tech provides a variety of software applications free of charge to all students, faculty, and staff. Visit the Software Distribution page for a list of applications.  We will also glady assist with the installation of any personally licensed software applicaitons, stop by the Walk-in support area for assistance. No appointment neccessary.
  • Demo Area

    Visit the Demo Area where you can experience the latest in student computing hardware and software from campus vendors Dell and Apple Computers.  To purchase using your student discount, visit the Barnes and Noble Campus Bookstore in Technology Square.
  • Central Printing Pick-up

    Located immediately outside of the Resource Area, Georgia Tech Central Printing Pick-up mailboxes accessible during normal library hours.  For more information on Delivery times and general printing instructions, see Printing.
  • Request Help Online

    Georgia Tech utilizes the Remedy Helpdesk System in order to maintain and service customer requests. In addition to calling our support center or coming in person to OIT@The Technology Support Center, you can also submit a Request for Service, also known as a Remedy Request, If you have previously submitted a request, you can use this site to track the progress on your request by entering your GT Account, then selecting: previously opened request
  • Computer Consulting

    OIT Computer Consulting provides consultation and quotes for departments buying Apple, Lenovo and Dell hardware. For more information, see Computer Consulting.
  • How-To Clincs

    A recent addition to the services of OIT@The Technology Support Center, How-To Clinics are short 40 minute training sessions on topics such as Data Backup, and Installing Virus and Spyware Apps to secure your computer. All sessions are hands-on, and taught by our talented crew of support professionals in the Technology Support Center location of OIT. See Upcoming Events for a current list of scheduled classes.
